Jazz vs. Heat

Bronson and I were lucky enough to score a set of my mom's season pass Jazz tickets to the Uah Jzz vs. Miami Heat. Bronson and i pretty much told my mom we wanted these tickets ever since we found out that LeBron James was going to play for the heat. Bronson loves LeBron James, so i made sure that my mom saved these tickets for us.

It ended up being a super long day we drove up to SLC and back in the same day. Bronson could only miss half a day of work, so it was a big driving day. I wish that the Jazz would have won. They put up a good fight. I thought for sure that after the 3rd quarter we were going to be able to pull it off, but oh well the Jazz lost. It was so loud in the arena. I love going to the Jazz games and watching the crowd it is so much better than watching the games on T.V.

NFR 2010

This year Bronson and I went to the Nation Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. My parents somehow snagged 4 tickets in the lower bowl and asked if we want to go with them. Of course we said yes. I am a total rodeo junkie and the NFR is the best of the best. We decided to head down to Vegas a little early so we could get in some Christmas shopping and to go and check out Cowboy Christmas. Bronson had never been to the NFR before, so i was really excited for him to experience it especillay since latley he has really gotten into riding horses and being a "cowboy." The cowboy's and cowgirl's that compete at the NFR level are pretty much amazing. This rodeo makes the dixie round up look like a kids rodeo..hahah. It was so loud an d crazy in the arena. We all had a total blast, so thanks Mom an Dad for taking us.

Jacobs Lake 2010

The Crew
Waiting for the buffalo to cross the road
North Rim
Piling into the back of the truck

A few months ago the group that i ride with decided that they wanted to ride from Jacobs Lake to the North Rim, which is about 88 miles. We were all super excited, but also a little nervous. None of us had done this ride and we didn't completely know what to expect. We knew that the first 12 miles was going to be a climb to get up to the highest elevation point, but we didn't expect more climbs beyond that point. We reached the end of the first 12 miles and we pretty much realized this was going to be a much harder ride than we expected. There were a lot of big rolling hills that we had climb and coast down. We all tried to stay together as much as we could, but we were all at such different riding levels that we ended up breaking up into little groups. When we hit the ranger station to get into the park we found out that the few people in our group that had national park passes wasn't going to get all of us in unless we were in a vehicle, which is so lame. So 8 of the 14 riders piled all our bikes and our bodies into the back of the truck that my dad was driving( he was our pick up driver for those who thought they couldn't make it) so instead of it costing each of us $10 to get in individually it cost us $10 for the whole truck load. It was kinda lame that we all had to pile in the truck, but that is your tax dollars at work...hahah. Any who we road into the park had some lunch and then it was time to get back on the road. I and another rider decided that we didn't want to ride out of the park because of the one big climb, so we got a ride to the top with my dad and then unloaded our bikes to continue our 30 miles back to the camp. Overall it was a long fun day. I started at 10 am and didn't get back to camp till 7 pm but we were only on our bikes and acutally riding for about 6 hours. The rest of the group all got around 88 miles and i only got 75 because i got the ride to the top if the park, but that was still the farthest i had ever been on a bike and i was super proud of myself. I know that i could have done the 12 miles out of the park but i was just sick of sitting on that bike....haha. Any who it was a fun trip. Thanks everyone that put it together. I also want to thank my dad for coming. He was driving the truck as our sag driver to pick up riders and refill our water bottles he was a definite life savor.

Viva La Summer

The 24th was awesome this year. Bronson and i decided that there was no better place to celebrate the 24th than out at lake powell with a few good friends. We had so much fun. The weather was perfect. Pretty much all that we did was lounge around on the boat, wakeboard, and just have a good time. I love all these people and am so glad that they could come with us on this trip.

IRONMAN 2010

IronMan was so awesome. I am still so amazed by all the participants and what they accomplished. Summer and I volunteered at one of the run aid stations and had a blast. I was so excited to see all of the competitors run by us on one side and fly by us on there bikes on the other side. We were set up in the middle of bluff street so we could see 2 legs of the race going at once. Both the male and the female winners of the race had huge gaps on there competitors and it was fun to cheer them on. We got there around 1 to start helping and our station didn't really start to get busy until about 2 or 2:30 and then it was non stop runners. It was exciting to see the people running by knowing that this was the last leg of the race, but the participants looked so tired i think that most of them were just ready to be done.
My mom volunteered at the swim part of the race, which was the first event, to take off wetsuits for the transition into the bike portion. She said that when the swimmers got out of the water they were so cold that they couldn't even move there fingers, so she pretty much had to completely dress the runners from head to toe. The water was only in the high 50's.
Next year i am definitely going to volunteer again. I can't even describe how amazing it was to be apart of it even though i didn't race it. It was just exciting to cheer them on and give the runners supplies that they needed. It really surprised me how thankful the competitors were, it just made it that much more rewarding the be apart of it.
I would love someday to compete in the iron man, but i think that i will start with baby steps. I plan on signing up to do a sprint triathlon hopefully in September and then we will see were it goes form there. I totally encourage everyone to volunteer next year because it was awesome.

3 Years

March 3 was our 3 year anniversary. I can't believe that it has already been that long. It has flown by so fast. Our anniversary as pretty simple this year. We went and ate a yummy dinner and then went out and got a couples massage. Bronson had never had a massage before so he was a little nervous about it, but he ended up loving it. Bronson also surprised me with a dozen beautiful red roses at my work. I was so shocked. I wasn't expecting them at all. Babe thanks so much for being such a wonderful husband. You are my best friend and i couldn't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else. I love you!

Lion King

It was WPMA in Las Vegas this week, which is a big convention for gas distributors. My dad and brother and a few other coworkers go every year to mingle with all the gas suppliers such as Sinclair, Conoco Phillips, and Holly. It is a three day event to pretty much just make some deals and find new customers. Well every year big companies will do things to entertain there customers. This year Holly Refining bought people tickets to go see the Lion King. Summer found out about it and so I asked my dad if he could get us a couple of tickets to go and see it. It was pretty cool. The seats were awesome and the best part was that it was free. We met Summer's parents down there and we all went and saw it. The costumes were so amazing! I can't believe the way that they made some of the costumes. The show itself was pretty good. It wasn't one that I would see again, but I am glad that I did. I have wanted to see it forever, so when i found out it was coming to Vegas i knew that i was going to see it one way or another.

Valentines Day Weekend!

Ryan Dungey in the opening introductions

Valentines day was a blast this year. Bronson and I decided that we were going to spend it down in Anaheim, CA and go to supercross. I was so excited to go and check out Ryan Dungey my favorite supercross rider. I have been watching supercross with Bronson for a couple of years, but this year I really started to get into it and really follow the series. Supercross was a blast the stadium was packed and the pits were awesome. I just wish that Dungey would have done a little better but i am sure that he will pull will off the championship win at the end of the season in Las Vegas.

On Sunday when we were leaving to come home we decided to go to Disneyland for a half day. It was crazy there. There were so many people it was Valentines day plus President's day weekend. Probably not the best day to go see Mickey, but it was still fun. We got to ride all of the rides that we wanted to. This was probably the best Valentine's day i have ever had. Thanks babe you taking me.

Christmas 2009

This year for Christmas we both surprised each other with awesome gifts that kind of went hand in hand together. I knew that Bronson had been wanting a gun safe forever, so when i found one at Costco for an unbelievable deal i had to get it for him. I was so excited to give it to him and he was very surprised and excited. I was so so shocked though when Bronson gave me a pink 22 rifle. I was so excited. I had been telling him to get me a gun so that we could go shooting together, so i was very excited when he showed it to me. I have only shot a gun once before so i will need a little practice before i can go out with the guys and completely blow them out of the water with my shooting skills.
